What is a
Rainbow Gathering ?
LOVE - PEACE - UNDERSTANDING
AMOUR - PAIX - CONSCIENCE
All year long, all over the planet,
the Rainbow Family organizes
temporal Gatherings of Tribes:
a completely free and non commercial sharing
of our lifes, our hearts, our ideals of
happiness, within the Cathedral of Nature:
This not a camping ground!
LOVE (AMOUR):
We are a nonhierarchical cooperative society;
everything works through
Talking- circles and Consensus groups
( "WELCOME HOME, BROTHERS AND SISTERS!"),
NOT BECAUSE OF THE WITTIEST'S DECISIONS
(NO: "We know better...")
Hugs, welcoming conviviality
and obvious “joie de vivre” in order
to give the best of oneself (Sharing);
bright rainbow colours; no introverted people,
no fake relationships caused by artificial states of being
(no drugs: alcohol and coffee included!).
PEACE (PAIX):
We live as an anarchic tribe
where everyone takes care of everyone
and of everything around,
for we all acknowledge the fact
that we are ONE.
In order to keep such a Peace,
we follow the basic Rules of community living:
they were discovered, little by little,
by all the "Rainbow people" really and
consciously working "on the field"
to keep and promote
this way of thinking and living:
NO DOGS: for health care!
NO TRADE: independency opposed to Baylonian values!
NOMADIC: these Gatherings do work because
they are not permanent;
therefore, no clan withdrawals,
no power trips,
no money problems
which all are obstacles
to Peace, Love and Welcome home!
UNDERSTANDING (Consciousness):
Through each one of us taking the full responsability
of doing what must be done
and sharing, through consciousness and respect
for everything and everyone,
we have been able, for over 30 years, to avoid
somehow the natural and worldwide
phenomenon of Decadency
(entropy, misappropriation,decay of values)
which would have disintegrated this Model of Utopia!
No "Drainbows" who only try to take
advantage of the Gatherings and denaturate them !...
